Kitchen Extension
We completed this project from start to finish on a 1920s house in Newark. See more pictures and information below.
Before
After
The client moved into the house in 2017 and it had previously been owned by a an older couple who hadn't updated the house in a number of years. As you can see from these pictures, the rear of the property had previously been extended and there was an old coal house.
We were asked to incorporate the coal house into the new extension, fit Velux windows to increase the light as well as landscape the area.
To start with structural drawings were drawn up and we employed a structural engineer to work out the calculations needed for the steel works needed for the new French door, and opening into the house.
The client chose a kitchen from Howdens, which we fitted. The patio landscaping is Indian Black Limestone with sleeper retaining walls.
The Velux windows help to make the room light, the additional insulation in the roof keep the room warm even in the coldest winter.
